About The Project

We like a good challenge at Elemental. That’s why when director Jeff Newman approached us to create a “completely different” kind of commercial for the Manitoba Dental Association, we jumped at the chance. Our main goal with the commercial was to associate bright, healthy smiles with all the important moments in life. Elemental's Simon Burgess and Jeff Newman developed a script that would capture those moments - from holding your baby and playing with your kids, to a successful work life and an active retirement - and tie them all together seamlessly in a colourful, animated environment. We spent a fast-paced day capturing footage of our actors and models in front of a green screen. We then composited the footage with the animated world we created. The end result? An innovative and unique commercial for the Manitoba Dental Association, a lot of smiling faces, and a 2008 Signature Award for Best TV/Cinema.
